I’ve seen this happen so many times. I’m praying at a surau (prayer room) somewhere and there are more people than the room can fit so people wait out their turn to pray next.
Here’s the part I don’t get: after these people finish praying, they don’t get up and make way for the 30 other people waiting in the background, they sit down for a good FIVE more minutes (!!!) and continue doing du’a (non-compulsory praying where you are simply asking God for blessings).
Okay yeah, du’a is good. Wouldn’t it be better to get up and let others pray? You could still do your du’a while standing, right?
Am I missing something here?
